2.27.2024 - the Floyd County Board of Commissioners approved:

  • an addition of $15,000 to the 2017 SPLOST for the Shannon Dog Park.
  • the installation of fence for a Dog Park at Shannon Park to Chavez Fence & Lawncare in the amount of $11,820.00. This vendor supplied a responsive bid and the lowest bid.

11.14.2023 - the Floyd County Board of Commissioners approved Rubber Designs, LLC for installation of bonded rubber mulch at the Alto Park Softball Complex in the amount of $124,610. The vendor submitted a proposal that met specifications and was the lowest bid submitted.

2.27.2023 - the Floyd County Board of Commissioners approved a request from Purchasing to award the installation of fence for a Dog Park at Shannon Park to Chavez Fence & Lawncare in the amount of $11,820.00.

8.9.2022 - the Floyd County Board of Commissioners approved the purchase and installation of the Lower Floating Dock and Gangway at Lock and Dam for Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation in the amount of $279,500.00 to Marine Specialties I, LLC. This was originally budgeted in the amount of $225,000.00 and will require a budget increase of $54,500.

3.8.2022 - the Floyd County Board of Commissioners approved the recommendation from Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation to name the renovated skate park in honor of Bob Moore. The new name will be known as the Bob Moore Kick Flip Skate Park.

11.9.2021 - the Floyd County Board of Commissioners approved American Ramp Company for the Design/Build Renovations at the Skate Park at Etowah Park in the amount of $150,000.00
